We have spent a wonderful summer together with family, part of it camping in Wales in the midst of a heatwave and drought. Thankfully, even very close to the campsite, we found waterfalls galore. Join us on the joy of the journey.

1. One of our purposes on holidaying in Wales was to share with the grandchildren some of our favourite holiday spots over the decades. Prime on that visit was the waterfall that you can walk behind at Ystradfellte. Even with the drought it was still a worthwhile visit.

2. Our campsite, just on the outskirts of Brecon, was very close to a series of waterfalls, tucked away on land owned by our host for the week. Definitely a stunning place to relax on a very hot day.

While we went exploring, Luisa put her creative skills into action.

We were more gentle in our activities, but we did meet another friendly group on the campsite who enjoy life to the extreme. We enjoyed watching them, and they graciously gave us permission to film.

3. We were only in Wales for one week – but with a hot summer our more local Dartmoor rivers and waterfalls have also been a lifesaver. This is just one of our many trips!

4. Just to prove we have enjoyed the outdoor waterfall life for many years – this waterfall walk is nearby the walk we did this summer but filmed (in much lower quality) 13 years ago. There had been a LOT more rain!

5. History – from 2004. In the days when I was fit and a volunteer outdoor activities leader, I took this group of teens from Newbold Church, Bracknell on a backpacking weekend. The older ones then made this report for sharing with the church and with friends.
