Our wedding day was the only day that week to be filled with cloudy skies. By 10 am it was raining hard. But this would not deter the crowds who arrived at Newbold Church Centre to celebrate and witness our marriage.
Rain at a wedding in both Portuguese and Indonesian culture is a sign of God's blessings. In English culture sunshine is preferred! We had a mixture of all the cultures at the very special service - and the rain more or less kept away for the photos.
What is most important is that the day was filled with the joyful presence and good will of family and friends. We were delighted to see so many at our special day.
