Christmas Newsletter 2009.

A very happy Christmas once again! How fast this year has gone. So much has happened. Rebuilding the office where Victor works following last November's fire, visiting Brazil in February (a wonderful summer break in mid-winter), a family holiday with friends in Portugal, camps, hikes, gardening, Luisa's increased delight in crafts and Portuguese cooking, Steven leaving home (and planning to get married next year), Jena (his fiance) moving in with us an providing splendid occasional Indonesian meals and a lot of joy -- altogether it has been a good year. Photos of some of our activities can be seen here or on our facebook pages. Amy, John & Tim in the snow

Steven & Jena have been together for nine years now - although currently apart with Steven leading the St Austell youth project in Cornwall. He has really enjoyed working with the youth there and has faced up well to some of the real challenges. Tim recently finished employment with Wilderness outdoors and is back as a manager at McDonalds - at least until the spring. At the end of January he is travelling out to Brazil to visit his girlfriend, Raquel who returned to her home in November. Amy has been working in the Gift Aid department at the South England Conference Office and has now been with John for 4 years. Our holiday, together with Amy & John, and friends Alison & Jacobus, took us to the north of Portugal and then Lisbon - where we were reminded that Luisa & Victor first met 30 years ago!

Luisa continues to work at the children's nursery and is, as always, adored by the children. She is also very active with her crafts. Together with Victor she has been serving on the worship committee at Newbold church. Victor has recently been involved in redesigning the soon to be launched Newbold church website. Amy has been helping to teach mime there with the Adventurer children. Our two dogs, Kalie and Keira are still bounding in energy and keep us very active.

Wishing you the very best for 2010.

God bless,

Victor, Luisa, Steven, Tim & Amy.
