Here is how to do it:

Your basic tool is simply a square piece of paper - patterned or plain. I find the best size is roughly 8 cm x 8 cm. (You should find patterned paper in your local craft shop.)

1. With the most attractive side facing down, fold your piece of paper diagonally across to form a triangle.

2. Then fold the apex of the top layer down to the base of the triangle.

3. Bring the side points up to the top point so that it makes a diamond.

4, Tuck the ends of the points you folded down into the pocket you made in step 2. (You may want to snip the end of the points to make it easier.

5. Then use your imagination to decorate the top for extra effect - or write a message or greeting on the plain section.
